The Greenblatt Library offers classes on the efficient use of information resources. Classes are free, but open only to staff, faculty, and students of the MCG Campus. Most classes are held at the Library in room AB-138.

CINAHL Basic introduces searching strategies for the Nursing and Allied Health literature. Topics will include basic keyword searching, using CINAHL Headings to find better results and how limits are used to find more relevant results. |
CINAHL Advanced Searching |
Advanced searching of the Nursing and Allied Health literature will address finding the full-text of articles, creating personal accounts, setting preferences for searching, and using other search field options, such as author and PMID. The class will also address saving citations for later use and exporting citations to bibliographic software. |
MEDLINE vs. Google |
Google Scholar links to journal articles. Learn how searching PubMed or Ovid MEDLINE is more effective. The class will focus on how searching the same phrase or keywords retrieves different results for Google Scholar and PubMed. Find out about harvesting information, currency and permanence of information, and result rankings. Discover how to filter for more relevant search results. |
