PubMed Gets a Facelift

PubMed, NLM's search interface to Medline, has a new design. The search process has not changed. The PubMed homepage with its familiar sidebar links of popular tools such as Single Citation Matcher, MeSH Database, Journals Database, and Clinical Queries is accessible at the bottom of the page. The My NCBI link is located on the top right-hand corner of the page with additional links to NCBI resources in the footer.
The most notable change is the location of the tab features. Limits, Preview/Index, History, and Details have been consolidated in the Advanced Search. PubMed has also modified the traditional drop-down menus for the search results display settings (format, items per page, and sort by) into one menu.
The Library has created a list of ten tips to help navigate the new design.
