eJournal Navigator & Find It@MCG
The Greenblatt Library has launched eJournal Navigator for improved access to online journals. The new eJournal Navigator requires fewer clicks to the full text of articles and enables easier access to journals in a variety of interfaces. The ePublications web page that the Library maintained for several years was ended August 4.
The Find It@MCG button found in Greenblatt Library's subscribed resources will now work through eJournal Navigator. When using PubMed, Ovid or CINAHL, the Find It button will now directly open any available electronic full-text. Print or document delivery options are provided if there is no online full-text.
eJournal Navigator is an extensive alphabetical index combining Greenblatt Library online journal subscriptions with titles provided by GALILEO, open access journals, and those shared among the Georgia research libraries consortium.
One of the most helpful features involves the automatic display of journal titles while typing. Is it Acta Medica Scandinavia or Acta Medica Scandinavica? The Navigator will assist in finding the correct title choice.
Once a journal provider is chosen two windows will open. The journal will open in a new window on the right side of the screen. A menu identified by the Find It@MCG logo will open in another window on the left side of the screen. Below the logo additional options are provided:
- When a journal is listed in Journal Citation Reports, the impact factor is made available.
- For journals with multiple full text options, other providers can be viewed by selecting the link to "Find It Options."
- A link is given to report any problems.
- For more information take a look at the Frequently Asked Questions page.
